Nutritious Pizza
A cheesy slice of pizza doesn't tend to come top of dieter's list, but it soon could be if Scottish food experts have their way, as they’ve invented (what they claim to be) the first nutritionally sound pizza.

Grilled Asparagus
I've decided that this summer I am going to become the grilling queen. I'm trying to get more vegetables in my diet and my friend Lois told me about grilling asparagus. I am usually okay with asparagus but prefer it with lots of butter. Since I don't want to spend all my Weight Watchers points on butter, I decided to try grilling them. Found this recipe which is close to what my friend suggests. They were yummy yummy yummy and only used a couple of Weight Watchers points for olive oil.
Update - Thursday p.m.
They were so good that we are having them again tonight with grilled pork chops!

Visual Cues Can Stop You From Eating a Whole Bag of Chips
New research says that visual cues, like every 7th chip being a different color, can slow you down so you don't eat an entire can (or bag) of chips (or cookies). I'm one of those people who can't have chips in the house unless we're having company over. Not sure this would would for me...but interesting.

26 Main Dish Salads
I'm counting points on Weight Watchers these days. (Liking the WW app on my iphone). So, I am looking at ways to get more vegetables and salads in my diet. Sunset Magazine has a feature this month on 26 ideas for main dish salads, including this Poached Salmon Nicoise, a Baby Vegetable Salad with Cornichons (and the mayonaise replaced with yogurt) and a Thai-style Jicama Salad. Yummmmmm

4 running motivation tricks for when you just want to skip it
We’ve lived in our current home for about seven years. And for every single day of those seven years, the older woman my family calls the “Energizer Bunny Lady” has raced past our house several times. She amazes me and I wonder what motivates her to run day-in-and-day-out. Another woman I know has walked two hours a day, every day (except the three days she was in labor with her three now-adult kids) for over 30 years…and this has taken place in ALASKA! Why can’t I just do it without giving myself a lecture about the pathetic mess of an old lady I will be if I don’t behave myself and exercise daily? Hmmm,,,,,,the word “lazy” does come to mind! more…Pam

This Is Why Yoga Should Replace Gym In Schools
In high school, I was the girl who did quite well in academics but wouldn’t walk the balance beam in gymnastics, couldn’t hit-that-baseball into lift field and shouldn’t have even attempted girl’s football. What can I say? I was an athletic klutz who depended on charming the p.e. teachers into passing me…..not easy with those hard nosed ladies, let me tell you! I suspect that I would have done better with yoga! Pam more…
